Unlock Your Character Workshop
Event description
NOTE: This class is asynchronous and does not meet at set times. Please ignore the time information included on this page
Characters drive story in fiction, games, and other narrative forms. Understanding what motivates their choices is key to creating characters with depth and veracity. In this workshop we'll use writing exercises and group discussions to delve into character backgrounds to uncover the foundations of who these characters are, where they come from, and why they make the choices they do.
You'll come away with a set of tools you can use for any character at any point during your writing process.
This asynchronous course is designed for all narrative writers, whether gardener or architect, at any skill level. The materials are applicable to any character (not just those whose identities are very different to your own) at any stage in your writing or revising processes.
