Event description

Join our webinar to learn how to adopt recycled content certification schemes in the building and construction industry.

The Bradfield Development Authority (BDA), in partnership with Edge Impact, is working to help manufacturers overcome barriers and seize opportunities for incorporating recycled content into their products through certification schemes.

Aligned with NSW Government policy, the BDA is preferencing recycled materials in procurement, driving demand for verifiable sustainable products.

Bradfield City Centre, a 114-hectare development in Western Sydney, will require sustainable materials in building structures, fit-out, furnishings, parks and public spaces. This amplifies the need for certified recycled products.

By addressing key barriers to certification, this webinar will provide practical steps to help you align your products with the NSW government’s sustainability requirements.

Participants will gain insights into:

  • Overcoming barriers to adoption: Understanding the challenges in certification programs and how to navigate them.
  • Gaining a competitive edge: Sustainability certifications and verified recycled content can help to reduce carbon emissions in products, making your business more attractive to large developers and contractors.
  • Accessing new opportunities: With future projects seeking to integrate the circular economy and low carbon principles into procurement, adopting recycled content certification schemes could position your business for tenders prioritising recycled materials and requiring traceability and supply chain transparency.

Who should attend:

This webinar is designed for building product suppliers including those who participated in the November 2024 survey sent by the BDA and Edge Impact.
