    Event description

(Un)Mysterious Menstrual is a workshop designed to help those who have a uterus to better understand their unique menstrual cycle, including the life phases of perimenopause and menopause.

This workshop is co-hosted by Michelle F. Moseley (she/her), a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina and by Coléa Henderson (they/them/their), an Ayurvedic Counselor.

Michelle (she/her) is a fat, neurodivergent mental health counselor who believes that ALL people deserve respect, compaassion, and access to physical and mental healthcare.  She recognizes that our physical and mental experiences impact one another, and that caring for the whole person requires a community.  Michelle will be sharing information about what perimenopause is and the ways this period of life can impact your mental health.  Please note that although Michelle is a licensed mental health provider, this workshop does not constitute therapy and does not replace a personal relationship with a licensed provider.

Coléa (they/them/their) is a Black, non-binary North Carolinian who uses liberation, healing justice, as a lens for their work; they are a yogi and an Ayurvedic Counselor, which both focuse on caring for and honoring the full human. Coléa believes that collective healing and liberation can be achieved by individual healing and liberation. Going to the gym, reading, minding their business, cooking, and dancing are some ways Coléa likes to celebrate their life.

    FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

    1. What is the set up for this workshop?  This is a two hour online (Zoom) workshop in which Michelle and Coléa will share the role of presenter and will have visuals (sharing their screen) for the attendees. There will be a couple bio-breaks and opportunities for questions. It's suggested that attendees have supplies available to take notes.
    2. Who is this for? This workshop is meant for folks who have periods, and who are experiencing / will experience (peri)menopause, as well as clinicians who see clients who have periods. This includes men and non-women who menstruate or are experiencing (peri)menopause. This can also mean there will be folks of different ages. Everyone who meets those descriptors is welcome and everyone will be respected by Coléa, Michelle, and other attendees. This event is not location-specific - anyone is welcome to attend.
    3. What's up with the cost? Accessibility is something both Coléa and Michelle work hard to provide. The pricing options, ranging from $30 to $70, are so folks can have an honest conversation with themself about what they can afford without breaking their bank, and choose the option that works best for them. How much you are able to pay is no one else's business but yours, and regardless of which payment option you choose you'll be getting the same information.  (See "A Note on Pricing" below for more details.)
    4. Will the slides/information be available after the workshop?  No, BUT you are encouraged to take notes and both Michelle and Coléa are totally cool with you taking screenshots of the slides. If you want to go deeper in your studies or want a more hands-on, individualized approach, you can contact Coléa - they are taking clients, and their contact information will be available during the event.  Attendees will also receive a PDF handout via email which include highlights from the event and contact information for both presenters.
    5. Does this fulfill any Professional Development/licensure/certificate requirements?  No, BUT a lot of therapists are finding integrative medicine is a great way to tend to their clients' whole being. It's no secret that the health of the mind, body, and spirit affect the health of the whole human. This can be a great resource for you personally, and to offer to your clients.
