Unplanned pregnancy and termination in Tasmania: a practical education session (session 2)

This interactive education session is designed to provide GPs and healthcare professionals in Tasmania manage patients presenting with unplanned pregnancy. It is designed for GPs and health professionals who don't necessarily provide medication terminations themselves, but may be the first point of contact for patients before and after a termination.

At the end of the session, participants will be able to:

1. Outline the main pregnancy termination care pathways in Tasmania.
2. Identify requirements for effective referral for each termination pathway.
3. Demonstrate effective assessment and communication for patients presenting with unplanned pregnancies in three common scenarios .
4. Identify appropriate management for patients presenting with post termination complications for three common scenarios.

The session is approved by RACGP as a CPD activity (1 EA hour, 1 RP hour).
