FAQs
- What makes this different from a normal practice exam?
Most students underestimate the difficulty of a HSC exam. A common misconception is that the HSC exam is easier than the Trial exam. In reality, HSC exams tend to be more novel and have a unique style of questions compared to a school trial exam.
The Accelerate HSC Trial Papers are designed to closely simulate the pressure and challenge of a real HSC exam.
- Will the questions be similar to HSC questions?
The exam contains original questions inspired by recent HSC trends and common HSC Trial styles. While no one can predict the exact HSC paper, our exam is designed to assess the same skills and depth of understanding required for your Trial exams.
- Where will the exam be held?
The exam will be held in a large exam hall at UNSW to simulate a real exam environment.
- If I can't make it in-person at UNSW, how does the online exam work?
The online exam is completed live on Zoom under timed exam conditions. We will be live-streaming the exam session from UNSW. You'll receive instructions before the session, and your completed paper can either be scanned and/or uploaded as a PDF for electronic marking.
- What do I need on the day?
You'll need:
A black pen, HB pencil, ruler, and NESA approved calculator stored in a clear container or bag
Student ID
Water bottle
- What if I can't attend the review session live?
The review session will be recorded, allowing registered students to watch it afterwards if they are unable to attend live.
- Why should I travel to UNSW?
The purpose is to remove the comfort of your normal study environment and simulate a serious examination setting.
- Is this suitable for students who aren't getting 90s?
Yes. The aim of our exam program is to identify what is limiting your performance, regardless of your current mark.
- If I join the Half Course Program, will I still have access to the review sessions for the exams I've attended?
Yes, you will. For instance, if you choose to attend only Exam 1 & Exam 2, you will have access to the review sessions for Exam 1 & 2.
This means that the Half Course Program consists of 2 exams and 2 review sessions over 4 weeks.
