Please join us for Untangling regenerative fashion through creative practice research. The panel discussion will commence at 6pm, and then be followed by networking and refreshments from 7:30pm - 9pm.

This panel event discusses the findings of a recent report commissioned by RMIT Europe on Regenerative Fashion within fashion and textiles industry systems with a view to de-link industrial and economic conditions to reveal the various ‘other’ systems. Design and creative practice research has the potential to do this through centering on diverse or overlooked subjects, places, environment, groups, people, non-humans via various methods.

Anthropologist Sandra Niessen asserts ‘Regenerative Fashion: There Can Be No Other’, and this position is shared by various researchers noting that addressing material flows and production systems are only part of the concerns we face. By taking this provocation further, what other forms of fashion practice, stories, representations and methods can crosscut industry systems and propose alternate narratives to untangle impacts of fashion systems and regenerative alternative.

Et convidem a ‘Desxifrant la moda regenerativa a través de la recerca en pràctiques creatives’. La taula rodona comença a les 18:00, seguida d’una recepció de networking de 19:30 a 21:00.

La taula rodona analitzarà els resultats d’un informe recent encarregat per RMIT Europe sobre moda regenerativa dins el sistema la indústria de la moda i els tèxtils, amb l’objectiu de deslligar les condicions industrials i econòmiques per visibilitzar diversos sistemes alternatius. La recerca sobre el disseny i la pràctica creativa té el potencial de fer-ho centrant-se en temes, llocs, entorns, grups, persones, i no-humans a través de diversos mètodes.

Tal com afirma l'antropòloga Sandra Niessen 'moda regenerativa: no hi pot haver cap altra'. Aquesta posició és compartida per diversos investigadors que consideren que abordar els fluxos de materials i sistemes de producció és només una part de les preocupacions a les que ens enfrontem. Portant aquesta provocació més enllà, quines altres formes de moda, històries, representacions i mètodes poden creuar els sistemes industrials i proposar narratives alternatives per desxifrar els impactes dels sistemes de moda i les alternatives regeneratives.

Te invitamos a ‘Descifrando la moda regenerativa a través de la investigación en prácticas creativas’. La mesa redonda comienza a las 18:00, seguida de una recepción de networking de 19:30 a 21:00.

La mesa redonda analizará los resultados de un reciente informe encargado por RMIT Europe sobre moda regenerativa dentro del sistema la industria de la moda y los textiles, con el objetivo de desligar las condiciones industriales y económicas para visibilizar diversos sistemas alternativos. La investigación sobre el diseño y la práctica creativa tiene el potencial de hacerlo centrándose en temas, lugares, entornos, grupos, personas y no-humanos a través de diversos métodos.

Tal y como afirma la antropóloga Sandra Niessen 'moda regenerativa: no puede haber otra'. Esta posición es compartida por varios investigadores que consideran que abordar los flujos de materiales y sistemas de producción es sólo una parte de las preocupaciones a las que nos enfrentamos.
