Unveiling the Terracotta Warriors - Session 1
Event description
Take a step back through the centuries as Stirling Libraries, in collaboration with RealChina Cultural Society Inc, invites you to uncover the awe-inspiring legacy of the Terracotta Warriors - one of history’s most remarkable archaeological discoveries. Through three engaging sessions, you'll travel beyond the gaze of these silent guardians and into the heart of ancient China, unearthing the mysteries of the emperor who built them, the hidden realms they protect, and the enduring legacy they represent.
Each talk opens a doorway into a forgotten empire, where myth and history intertwine and the echoes of 2,000 years still whisper through the stories shared.
Making Sense of the Terracotta Warriors - Session 1
One of the most spectacular exhibitions in the history of the WA Museum— over 200 ancient Chinese treasures spanning 2,000 years have arrived in Perth.
Who gave them life? Why were they made, and for whom did they stand guard? What kind of emperor could command such an eternal army?
In this one-hour talk, the warriors finally break their silence. Catch the whispers of the silent army and watch 2,000 years of civilisation come alive before your eyes. Step into a thousand-year rendezvous.
