During her intensive three-day residency at The Drill Hall, Rakini Devi will draw on her Indian classical dance history and current practice of visual and performance art to initiate a dialogue as the first stage of a new work.
Devi will work with dancers Vishnu Arunasalam and Amy Flannery to explore the body as an embodiment of cultural and social beliefs, drawing on both dancer’s cultural backgrounds and dance styles.
This will culminate in a showing at The Drill Hall on Saturday 26 October.
