UNWIND: Somatic Movement + Sound Bath

A guided experience to move, release + rest.

Sometimes you know you need to slow down, but your body hasn't gotten the message.

Your mind is still going. Your shoulders are tense. You're carrying the energy of the day. And lying down and telling yourself to relax doesn't necessarily make relaxation happen.

UNWIND was created for the space between feeling wound up and actually being able to let go.

This beginner-friendly experience gives you space to get out of your head, reconnect with your body, move some of the tension you've been carrying, and gradually transition into deeper rest.

You don't need to be good at being still. You don't need to know how to meditate. You don't need to be flexible or have any experience with somatic movement.

Through gentle movement, breath, body awareness, and immersive sound, you'll be invited to move without performing, notice without judging, and rest without needing to accomplish anything.

The intention is simple: to leave feeling a little lighter, more grounded, more connected to yourself, and hopefully a lot less wound up than when you walked in.

✨ What to Expect

We'll move through the experience in three parts:

🧠 LEARN

We'll begin with a brief, approachable introduction to somatic awareness + the mind-body connection. You'll learn more about how stress and tension can show up physically and how paying attention to sensation, breath, and movement can help us become more aware of what our bodies need.

🌀 MOVE

From there, we'll spend approximately 25–30 minutes exploring gentle guided somatic movement + breath.

We may incorporate stretching, rocking, shaking, intuitive movement, grounding, breath, and other simple practices to help you explore sensation, release tension, and reconnect with your body.

This isn't yoga, choreography, or a workout. There are no poses to perfect and nothing you're supposed to look like. Everything is an invitation, you're encouraged to move at your own pace and choose what feels supportive for your body.

🎶 RECEIVE

After movement, we'll take a few minutes to get cozy and transition into stillness for a 30-minute immersive sound bath featuring crystal singing bowls, my 38" Taoist Breeze Gong, rainsticks, chimes, and other grounding instruments.

This is your opportunity to stop doing altogether. Get comfortable, close your eyes if you'd like, and simply receive.

We'll finish with a few quiet moments of integration, giving you an opportunity to notice how your body feels compared with when you first arrived.

⏰ How the Evening Will Flow

While the timing may shift slightly depending on the group, you can expect approximately:

10 minutes — Arrival, grounding + somatic education
25–30 minutes — Guided somatic movement + breath
5 minutes — Transition into stillness
30 minutes — Immersive sound bath
Final few minutes — Integration + closing

🧘 What to Bring

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely and bring:

• Yoga mat

• Pillows + blankets

• Water bottle

• Optional eye mask or any other comfort items you'd like for the sound bath

No experience necessary. All are welcome.

Doors open 15 minutes early to give you space to arrive, settle, and ease into the experience.

Spots are limited to maintain a peaceful, supportive environment. Advanced registration is required.

Come as you are. Move what needs to move. Then give yourself permission to rest.
