Event description

A 2-hour in-person workshop that will help you somatically process the tension of conflict and give you supportive practices to use when conflict arises in your every day life.

Your relationship to a conflict is so much more than your story about it. Underneath your story lives a rich world of embodied experience, waiting for your attention to be heard and healed.

When we approach conflict from a place of embodied curiosity, we can naturally shift our relationship to it without consciously trying to change or control our experience, which can lead to constriction, exhaustion, or shame.

In this workshop, you will work with 1 conflict to:

  • move through somatic activation to soften emotional charge
  • get to know your reactive patterns so you can be more aware of them
  • act out self-protective responses in a safe container so you don’t act them out in relationship
  • give and receive empathy so both people in a conflict can fully be heard
  • practice asking for a pause so you can interrupt harmful patterns in the moment

This is for you if you:

  • are navigating a specific conflict or relational pattern and you want to approach it with more ease and curiosity
  • feel stuck as you notice similar patterns of reactivity, shutdown, or people pleasing showing up in your relationships when dealing with conflict
  • are open to exploring somatic practices to deepen self-awareness and create meaningful change
  • want practical practices you can use in your life to navigate conflict in a different way

“Lux gave me tools to deal with conflict. Its amazing how challenging it is to learn, but Lux is an amazing teacher and I came away from the workshop having more skills about dealing with conflict than when I started.”

“Lux holds beautiful space. I felt safe to fully express myself and space to deeply self reflect. Highly recommend”

Sliding Scale Guidance:

A sliding scale is an equity-based payment structure where the participant’s financial situation informs the rate they pay for a service.

The bullet points listed below are just examples to help guide your self-assessment. I trust you to factor in these considerations and choose the level that feels right for you at this moment.

Choose a rate on the low end (range) of the sliding scale if you:

  • Do not have a financial safety net
  • Have large debt or student loans
  • Are Black, Indigenous, or otherwise systemically disadvantaged based on your identities

Choose a rate in the middle (range) of the sliding scale if you:

  • Can go out to eat without thinking about your finances
  • Have a salaried job with benefits
  • Have family that would financially support you if you needed it

Choose a rate on the high end (range) of the sliding scale if you:

  • Own property or other significant assets
  • Make over $100K per year
  • Never feel scared of not having enough

Please pay at the highest rate that you are able to, and know that there is no ceiling. Your generosity supports me in offering scholarships to those who are unable to afford these rates.
