Culture Club and Travel Club - Chicago the Musical - Sydney CBD

We welcome our UP! Clubbers to join us to see Chicago the Musical at the Capitol Theatre for a glamorous one-night stay in heart of Sydney city.  

For those not able to do the overnight stay, we are delighted to provide a Culture Club option for our UP! Clubbers to come join us for the musical and dinner.

5.00pm - Dinner at Time for Thai, Haymarket 

6.30pm - Walk to Capitol Theatre 

7.30pm - Razzle Dazzle it’s Chicago the Musical! 

10.00pm - Pick up at Capitol Theatre 

Travel Club

Where: Capitol Theatre, 13 Campbell St, Haymarket NSW 2000 and The Castlereagh Boutique Hotel, 169 Castlereagh St, Sydney, 2000 NSW

Date:  Saturday 27 July 2024 - Sunday 28 July 2024

Time: Saturday 2.00pm - Sunday 11.00am

Travel Club Itinerary: 

Saturday 

2.00pm- Meet at Central 

2:30pm – Check in at the Castlereagh Hotel 

2:30pm - Icebreakers/Get to know each other 

3:00pm – Get ready for the Musical! 

4:00pm – Meet in Foyer of Castlereagh  

4.30pm –Catch Light Rail from Town Hall to Haymarket  

5.00pm – Meet Culture Club participants at Time for Thai, Haymarket 

5.00pm - Dinner at Time for Thai, Haymarket 

6.30pm - Walk to Capitol Theatre 

6:45pm – Take photos, buy merch, snacks and drinks. 

7.30pm – Razzle Dazzle it's Chicago the Musical! 

10.00pm – Pick up at Chicago the Musical (for Culture Club participants) 

10:15pm – Catch Light Rail to Town Hall  

11.00pm – Bedtime/Lights Out! 

Sunday 

8.00am – Wake Up and Get Ready! 

8.30am-9.30am – Breakfast 

9.30am – Finish Packing and Check Out 

10.00am - Travel Club Journals 

10.30am – Pick up at the Castlereagh Hotel 

11.00am – Pick up Central Grand Concourse (platforms 1 & 2)


What to Bring:

• Umbrella 
• Toiletries

• Warm clothes
• Pyjamas
  
• Phone chargers
  
• Opal Card that is topped up to travel on trains and light rail
  
• Photo identification
  
• Sun protection - hat, sunglasses, sunscreen
  
• Wear comfortable walking shoes.
• Please bring money (approximately $100) for food & drinks for the Saturday & Sunday.
  

More details will be emailed to participants for preparation of the overnight stay. 

Stay COVID-safe – if you become unwell, please stay home and do not attend this event

** Please note if we have NOT received your signed 2024 Service Agreement and Schedule of Supports version 2, you will not be able to attend services with Down Syndrome NSW.

You need to return these forms 48hrs before a scheduled activity then you will be able to attend this Up! Club activity.

CANCELLATION POLICY

We know plans change but we are so excited to see you! Bookings cancelled 7 days or less before the event date will be charged in full. We trust you understand this as we find it hard to fill your spot after this date. Cancellations must be made in writing to admin@dsansw.org.au
