Up Your Arts! Artist May Session: Palm Frond Jewellery

Come and create and explore at Yarrawarra in the "Up Your Arts!" First Nations art sessions teaching different techniques to broaden our creative practices, make connections and bring our community closer <3
This month we'll try our hand at crafting some jewellery or art pieces from palm frond fibre with stitched raffia edges
Facilitated by local artist and weaver Lilly Clegg, this workshop will take place out the back of the art centre at Yarrawarra in the beautiful vista of the undercover outdoor workshop space
We aim to create pieces to represent our regional arts community at Darwin Art Fair! There's also a whole lot of loose canvas available and if you're not keen to weave, feel free to come sit and paint and yarn regardless!
Workshop is on Sunday 1st of June from 12pm-4pm
Tea and coffee will be provided, please bring some tucka or the corindi shop does a good feed
