Updates in melanoma management: Northern Tasmanian Clinical Education Evening

Join us for an engaging educational program designed for all clinicians who care for melanoma patients. 

Hosted by Melanoma Institute Australia, our educational evening will provide you with an overview of our latest understanding of the management of melanoma.

Hear from leading multidisciplinary experts as they discuss: 

  • management of early melanoma
  • how systemic therapy has transformed survival outcomes for melanoma patients
  • the current role of surgery in the management of melanoma
  • updates in radiation oncology
  • shifting referral paradigm in Tasmania. 

The evening will conclude with a panel discussion and dinner will be provided. 

Program:

  • The evolving management of patients with Stage I-III melanoma - Prof Andrew Spillane (Surgical Oncologist, MIA)
  • Systemic therapy for melanoma: An update - Dr Thomas Bennett (Medical Oncology Fellow, MIA)
  • The current role of radiotherapy in melanoma management - Prof Angela Hong (Radiation Oncologist, MIA)
  • Melanoma diagnosis and treatment - Dr Philip Clarke (Dermatologist, Launceston Dermatology)

This event is suitable for GPs, Specialists and Nurses*.

Date: Thursday 19 October, 7pm - 9:30pm (Registration opens at 6:30pm) 

Cost: Free

CPD: A certificate of attendance will be given to attendees.
