Upstream Social Determinants of Health in Practice - Inaugural Symposium
Event description
We are excited to announce that our project on Nursing and the Social Determinants of Health, funded by the World Universities Network, is officially up and running!
Over the next three months, the School of Nursing and Midwifery and the School of Public Health at UTS will be collecting case studies and co-hosting a series of symposiums that explore the critical role of nurses in addressing upstream social determinants of health (SDoH).
Our Inaugural Symposium on Upstream SDoH in Nursing Practice will take place on Friday, September 27, 2024, at 10 AM (AEST). This global event will focus on how nurses can influence upstream SDoH and lay the foundation for future regional discussions. Please feel free to share this with your networks.
At this event, we’ll set the stage for a series of regional symposiums aimed at empowering nurses to lead transformative change in healthcare systems worldwide.
Regional Symposia:
- November 1, 2024: Americas & Western Europe
- November 22, 2024: Africa & Eastern Europe
- December 13, 2024: Asia-Pacific
