Join the UQ Singers directed by Shaun Brown and Sarah Crane and the UQ Symphony Orchestra conducted by Maestro Paul dean for an evening of operatic brilliance.
UQ Opera Gala celebrates the power and diversity of the operatic repertoire, from Mozart’s crystalline overtures and duets to the lush romanticism of Verdi, Bizet, Tchaikovsky, and Puccini. Featuring highlights from The Magic Flute, Carmen, Lakmé, Falstaff, Don Giovanni, Fidelio, and Cavalleria Rusticana, the Gala showcases the artistry and versatility of UQ’s emerging vocal talent in collaboration with the UQ Symphony Orchestra. Experience the drama, humour, and lyric beauty of opera in this vibrant end-of-year celebration of the UQ School of Music’s 2025 performance season.

Please note, tickets are general admission. Please arrive with your group so you can find seats together. For accessible seating, please note any requirements on our booking form.
Doors will open 45 minutes prior to the performance.
Refreshments will be available to purchase prior to the performance from 6:15pm and during the interval.
