UQJX's annual speech competition is returning for its third year, promising to be bigger and better than ever! This year, the competition is divided into two separate categories (Beginner and Open), which will be held over two days. This event is open to everyone, including high-school students and the general public.

Open Category:
世界のルールを一つでも変えられるとしたら、何を変えたいですか？
If you could change one rule of the world, what would you change?
4 - 5 minutes

Beginner Category: 
１０年前の自分へのお手紙
A letter to myself from 10 years ago
2 - 3 minutes

Note:
The beginner category is designed for those with a proficiency equivalent to UQ JAPN 1XXX/2XXX.
The Open category is aimed at those at a N3 or above level (or UQ JAPN3XXX) and native speakers.

The competition will be held over the course of two days at UQ, with the open category being held on Saturday the 24th of August, and the Beginner category on Sunday the 25th.

Prizes per division:

1. $300 Sono Gift Card + Mystery JAL Gift
2. $200 Motto Motto Gift Card
3. $100 Amazon Gift Card
   Popular vote: UQ Merchandise

Rules:

• A bell will indicate the remaining time for a speaker at 1 minute before maximum time and maximum time. If the speaker exceeds the maximum duration by 30 seconds, they will be interrupted. There is no penalty for speaking below the minimum time.
• Props are allowed, but extra marks will not be awarded for using props. Palm cards or scripts are allowed but may affect grading.
• Registration is free, but please contact us if you do not wish to participate anymore.

UQJXのスピーチコンテストの申し込みはこちらです！今回は２つのカテゴリーにエントリー可能となっています🥳

・初心者カテゴリーのお題は「１０年前の自分へのお手紙」（2～3分）
・オープンカテゴリーのお題は「世界のルールを一つだけ変えられるとしたら、何を変えますか？」（4～5分）

注意: 初心者カテゴリーはUQ JAPN 1XXX/2XXX相当のレベルの方を対象、オープンカテゴリーはN3以上（もしくはUQ JAPN3XXX）のレベルやネイティブスピーカーを対象としています。

コンテストは8月24日（土）にオープンカテゴリー、8月25日（日）に初心者カテゴリーをUQで開催します！
コンテストでは、賞品も用意されています！🤩

会場、賞品、審査員の情報は近日公開予定ですので、楽しみにしていてください😎

観客投票: UQグッズ

ルール:

• スピーチ時間切れとその一分前にベルが鳴らされます。もし、時間切れから３０秒たった場合、強制的に終了させられます。スピーチの時間が指定の時間より短くても減点はありません。
• 小道具を使用することができますが、ボーナスポイントはありません。メモを使うことは可能ですが、評価に影響する可能性があります。
• 参加登録は無料ですが、参加をキャンセルされる場合はUQJXにご連絡ください。
