SOLD OUT! SMALL GROUP URBAN FARM TOUR // SEPTEMBER
Event description
Pocket City Farms is continuously updating our covid practices to make our workshops and events as safe as possible, following the current guidelines and recommendations.
Are you interested in growing food? Transforming underused spaces for production and restoration? Getting up close and personal with chemical free growing practices and regenerative methods?
Come join us for a special small group Farm Tour on our urban farm, which is the first of its kind in Sydney. Established on an unused bowling club, the farm includes a 1200m2 ecological market garden growing vegetables for the local community, a community food forest, composting program, and a propagation greenhouse. While we show you our space we’ll chat about why we’re farming in the city, the benefits of urban farming, and our daily operations and farming methods, as we take a walk through the different areas of the farm.
At the conclusion of the tour you'll receive our sturdy PCF tote* made from 100% cotton, filled with freshly harvested seasonal vegetables and herbs at the peak of nutrition and flavour.
*Our tote bags are made from 100% cotton by Australian company AS Colour. All their production facilities are WRAP certified, ensuring sweatshop-free product and ethical work conditions.
Suitable for: All ages. Children must be accompanied by paying adults.
Cost: $70
