Urban Sketching with Kristy Kensinger

If you want to paint scenes from life and depict the essence of a city or location, join us for a workshop on urban sketching. These techniques can be applied in your daily life or to convey your travels. During the workshop, we will quickly sketch and paint our surroundings, highlighting the distinctive details, the architecture, and individuals to narrate the essence of a place from your viewpoint. Weather permitting, we will head outdoors in Colorado Springs to capture local scenes near the gallery. The focus will be on exploring line work, using expressive brushstrokes, swiftly capturing people in motion with form, and studying composition and perspective.

All art materials will be included in the workshop. Wine included. 2 Hour Workshop. No previous art experience necessary. Limited to 10 artists. Date subject to change.
