Session overview
Communication is more than words. Children express themselves in many ways: through movement, gesture, visuals, behaviour, vocalisations and play.
This session explores how a Total Communication approach supports inclusion by valuing and responding to all forms of communication. Educators will reflect on how communication environments can either create barriers or foster connection, understanding and participation.
Participants will leave with practical strategies to create communication‑rich environments that honour diverse communication profiles.
