Using CapCut to Make Online Videos

Want to create professional-looking videos but don’t know where to start? This 1-hour, hands-on workshop will introduce you to CapCut, a free and powerful video editing tool that’s perfect for beginners and busy business owners. You’ll learn how to cut and arrange clips, add smooth transitions, layer in captions and effects, and export videos that are ready to share across your favourite social media platforms. By the end of the session, you’ll have the practical skills and confidence to start making videos that capture attention and tell your story.

In this hands-on session, you’ll learn the basics of video creation and editing, including how to:

  • Cut and arrange clips with ease

  • Add effects, transitions, and captions

  • Export polished videos ready for any platform

This workshop is led by Dante St James from Clickstarter Education. With more than 14 million views on his videos over the past five years, Dante knows what it takes to stand out online. He uses CapCut daily to create multiple videos across platforms and will share the practical steps he relies on to produce content that engages, educates, and entertains.

Note: To get the most from this session, attendees should bring both their laptop and phone, and sign up for a free CapCut account beforehand at capcut.com.

This workshop is presented as part of the Digital Solutions Program.
