Are you ready to move beyond just collecting data and start using it to drive real change in student reading outcomes across your school?

Have you tried using a fluency rate screener such as Dibels or Acadience and are not sure what to do next?

Do you have a high number of students identified at reading risk and are baffled with how to turn things around?

Join us for this action-learning focused webinar series designed to help school leaders and teachers harness the power of Targeted Literacy Cycles™ (TLCs) to improve literacy achievement across your school.

Course Dates:

📅 Session 1: Tuesday 5th August 2025 (2 hours) – 4.30 PM WST
📅 Session 2: Tuesday 19th August 2025 (2 hours) – 4.30 PM WST
📅 Session 3: Tuesday 9th September 2025 (2 hours) – 4.30 PM WST

Why Attend?

Targeted Literacy Cycles™  (TLCs) provide a term by term laser sharp focus on school improvement by setting short-term, layered literacy targets aligned with each school’s strategic plan, assessment data and students' needs. TLCs provide an approach that supports teachers to utilise a detailed, time limited map translating priorities into action and impact. Based on a similar model used in London, Julie Scali and learning difficulties expert, Margie Backhouse, will share how TLCs offer a transformative approach to achieving sustainable, schoolwide progress, in both UK and Australian schools. This three part series provides actionable strategies for translating your DIBELS or Acadience data into targeted instruction, ensuring every child has the chance to thrive.

Who Should Attend?

Literacy leaders, school leaders, and classroom teachers committed to building sustainable literacy growth.

Participants will have some knowledge around the importance of universal screening and will have ideally started experimenting with DIBELS or Acadience in their schools.

Between each session, participants will be encouraged to analyse their own data and follow the steps to make positive changes in their classrooms/schools.

However, even if you are not up to this stage in your literacy journey, all are welcome if you would like to learn more!
