Description

Social enterprises frequently operate in complex environments where organisations must navigate differing perspectives - from communities, partners, staff, and service users - on difficult social and policy issues. The Centre for Responsible Debate aims to help organisations move beyond adversarial discussion toward more constructive, inclusive dialogue.

This participatory seminar uses Responsible Debate principles to help you and your colleagues understand how to productively discuss contentious issues through constructive approaches and with a spirit of shared purpose, allowing better relationships in the office and the boardroom.

The aim is to equip participants with practical tools to handle disagreement in ways that maintain trust, strengthen collaboration, and support shared understanding, rather than letting differences become polarised or unproductive.

Hope you can join us for an interactive session, with plenty of time for discussion and questions.

Description

Your Speaker

The Centre for Responsible Debate believes there are better ways to discuss contentious issues than the adversarial and often polarised debates we see around us. Its work focuses on helping people and organisations have more constructive conversations - finding shared purpose and working towards inclusive solutions, even when people strongly disagree.

Through workshops, training, online coaching and events, the Centre equips people with the knowledge and skills to approach challenging discussions in a more informed, respectful and inclusive way.  Its work is particularly relevant at a time when disagreement can so easily become divisive and offers practical approaches to turning difficult conversations into opportunities for understanding, collaboration and positive action.
