USING TROVE TO RESEARCH OUR LOCAL PAST
Event description
Thursday 4 September, 4.00pm - 5.30pm
Albury LibraryMuseum
Trove is a free, online resource developed and maintained by the National Library of Australia. It is a treasure trove of articles and stories from Australia’s cultural past. Of special interest is the collection of online copies of Australian newspapers.
The website has become an asset for anyone researching history topics or conducting family history research.
Albury & District Historical Society has coordinated the efforts to extend the coverage of local newspapers on the site – we now have coverage from the first Albury newspaper, the Border Post of October 1856 through to the Border Morning Mail of December 1954.
Join us for a workshop that will help you with research.
Free workshop, but bookings are essential
