Launch of the University of Sydney’s first TNFD report
Event description
Join us at the University of Sydney for the launch of our first Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) report, a global milestone for higher education. The TNFD framework helps organisations understand and report on their interactions with nature, and this report marks a major step in how the University assesses its environmental dependencies, impacts and risks. It supports our transition to a more nature-positive way of operating across campus, teaching, research and engagement.
The event includes a panel discussion featuring academics and contributors to the report who will share insights into how nature is being integrated into decision-making and why this matters for the future of education, biodiversity and sustainability leadership.
Following the panel, there will be a screening of Takayna / Tarkine — the Heart of Lutruwita, a moving documentary about the fight to protect one of the last wild temperate rainforests on Earth from mining and logging, told through powerful personal stories of place, resistance and connection.
Event location: Julie Wu Lecture Theatre, level 3 Susan Wakil Health Building, University of Sydney.
