Over 5 weekly online sessions, this workshop series teaches ways to better manage electricity, gas and water bills when money is tight.
Join ConnectEd online for this series of five workshops on Wednesday afternoons; 1, 8, 17, 22 and 29 March 2023
Live online from 12:30pm to 3:00pm (Adelaide time), plus some homework between weekly sessions. NB Module 2, on 8 March, will be one hour later - 1:30 to 4pm - to accommodate an earlier meeting.
ConnectEd's free Utilities Literacy Training for Community Workers will teach you about household electricity, gas and water in South Australia:
- Reading and understanding meters and bills
- How to choose an energy retailer and get a good deal
- Using energy and water efficiently at home
- Concessions, complaints, disputes and hardship
- New technologies and tariff reform.
We assume that you work, volunteer or study in the community sector and support financially vulnerable people, but everyone's welcome!
You'll find out how to help people, but you'll probably also learn plenty you can use in your own home.
