An apron is practical. But does practical really need to be boring? Absolutely not.

Come spend an afternoon sewing your own one-of-a-kind apron, complete with roomy pockets and plenty of opportunities to play with colour, print, trims and all the cute little details.

I’ll take you through the process step-by-step, from constructing the main apron and waistband through to adding pockets and finishing touches. You can keep things simple, or go all in with contrasting fabrics, ric-rac, ruffles, lace and whatever else takes your fancy.

There’ll be a selection of fabrics and trims to choose from, so while everyone will be learning the same sewing skills, no two aprons need to look the same.

This class is suitable for all skill levels, including people who are new to sewing. You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what you’re doing, that’s what the class is for! Sewing machines, materials and supplies are provided.

Come by yourself, bring a friend, meet some new people, have a chat while you sew, and head home with something useful that is very much yours!

A few things to know 💖

Arriving on time
Out of respect for everyone’s learning time, I ask that participants arrive on time where possible.

Children, carers & companions
Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult or guardian. Carers and support workers do not need to purchase a ticket.

Friends, carers, guardians and children are always welcome to come along as companions -no ticket required. There’s a lounge area available for anyone who would like to stay nearby without participating in the class.

Can’t make it?
If you’ve purchased a ticket but can no longer attend, please let me know as soon as possible. I’ll happily pay your ticket forward to someone else who would like to join.
