The UTS Business School and the UTS Case Team proudly present the second 2025 instalment of the student-led Leadership Insights Interview Series, providing UTS students access to distinguished business and community leaders across Australia.
In this session, hear from Shelley Cole, Chief Financial Officer at Western Sydney Airport. Shelley began her journey right here at the UTS Business School before launching her career in professional services at PwC Sydney, before taking on finance roles with global energy leaders Shell and Caltex. She then moved into the aviation industry, holding senior finance positions at Air Seychelles, Etihad Regional in Switzerland and Etihad Airways in Abu Dhabi.
Since 2017, Shelley has led the finance, treasury, procurement, compliance, and audit functions at Western Sydney Airport. Combining her international experience with a passion for making a difference, she’s focused on helping shape a landmark project for Sydney’s west. Shelley is also driven to show aspiring leaders, particularly young women in STEM, what’s possible in senior roles.
