Description

Please join us for the official launch of the UTS Research Community on Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence, bringing together researchers, partners and stakeholders working across domestic, family and sexual violence research.

The event will celebrate the establishment of the Community and showcase the breadth of research and expertise across UTS. Through interdisciplinary research and partnerships with government and community organisations, the Community aims to generate new knowledge, strengthen collaboration, and support evidence-based policy and practice. Co-convened by by Professor Jane Wangmann (Faculty of Law), Dr Samantha Donnelly (Faculty of Design and Society), Dr Mihajla Gavin (UTS Business School), Dr Celina McEwen (UTS Business School) and Christine Lai (Research Office), the Community brings together more than 50 academic and professional staff from across UTS.

The morning will feature the formal launch of the Community, highlights of research being undertaken by Community members, and an introduction to the Community’s 2027 webinar series.

Formal proceedings will run from 10am–12pm, followed by an informal lunch and networking from 12pm–1pm, providing an opportunity to connect and discuss research, partnerships and future opportunities. The event will also provide an opportunity to celebrate our collective efforts as part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.

Please note: this event will be in-person only.
