About the Event:
After the huge success of UX Camp variations around the world, we’re excited to bring you the first Melbourne | Naarm edition!
Our vision is unwavering: to be the premier UX event for professionals, students, and enthusiasts in Melbourne.
We promote UX best practice, in a way that's accessible to all. We connect early and emerging enthusiasts with seasoned professionals and aim to provide tools and "aha" moments to apply tomorrow.
Think, a day jam-packed with passionate talks, meaningful networking (no forced business card hour) and the ability to challenge, learn, and discuss in a range of workshops, sessions, and case study walkthroughs.
How does it work?
An “unconference” is a little lot different from your standard conference event. The day starts with participants pitching their passions, the audience then votes with their hearts and minds, and following the keynote, the conference agenda is revealed. The aim is for everyone to learn, and if they’re comfortable, to share!
The 20+ sessions take place concurrently in break-out rooms throughout the day. This creates a truly unique event, and also allows attendees to customize the sessions they wish to attend. Following a day of sharing, learning, networking, and fun, we all come together for the top-voted talk.
We close the day with an opportunity for all attendees to come together, continue the conversations from the day and network over a drink.
Detailed Timing:
- 9:00am: Event Starts, Call out for speakers
- 9:30am: 1-minute pitches from speakers
- 10:30am: Vote on the topics we want to hear
- 10:45am: Keynote speaker
- 11:45am: Talks happen across multiple streams
- 5:00pm: The main event wraps up, and we head outwards for a drink and chat!
