Welcome to V4U Day, Victoria University’s biggest, best, and most impactful community volunteering extravaganza! Whether you’re a student, alumni, or staff member, get ready to team up and give back to the amazing western suburbs of Melbourne.

Here’s your step-by-step walkthrough of what to expect and how to get ready for the big day!

🗺️ Step 1: Pick Your Adventure

Browse our full project list and find a cause that sparks your passion.

💡 Pro Tip: If a project isn’t showing up, don’t panic! It just means it’s fully booked. Popular projects fill up fast, so lock in your favorite early!

🎟️ Step 2: Secure Your Spot

Ready to commit? Hit that register button!

• Changed your mind? No stress. Just cancel your current ticket before registering for a new one.

• Good to know: If you accidentally sign up for multiple projects, we’ll automatically keep your latest registration and cancel the previous ones. Easy!

📝 Step 3: Quick & Easy Deets

Fill in your personal details so we know who our awesome volunteers are.

• 👶 Working with Children Check (WWCC): Some projects require this, but don’t worry about the cost! You can get your WWCC Free of Charge by following our simple instructions.

😎 Step 4: Sit Back & Get Hyped

You’re officially registered! Now, sit back, relax, and get ready for an amazing day.

• ⏰ Registration Deadline: Sunday, 18 October 2026, at 11:59 PM. (Don’t sleep on this!)

🚌 The Big Day: Friday, 23 October 2026

Here's what your day will look like:

• 9:00 – 10:00 AM: Arrive at VU Footscray Park campus. Meet fellow volunteers, enjoy a free light breakfast and entertainment, and collect your V4U Day T-shirt, bucket hat and lunch pack, and get pumped for the day ahead! 🥐

• 10:00 – 10:30 AM: Hop on the bus as we transport you to your assigned project location in the western suburbs. 🚌

• 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM: On-site Project Time! This is where the magic happens. Roll up your sleeves, complete your volunteering tasks, and make a real impact at your organisation. 🛠️💙

• 3:00 – 5:00 PM: Hop back on the bus and return to Footscray Park campus for a post-event celebration! Let's reflect on the amazing work we've done together. 🎉

(Note: All projects are 100% in-person this year, so bring your energy, comfy shoes, and a big smile!)
