Vales Wine Release and Art Exhibition

Visitors to the Hunter Valley this November are invited to a special release event at Vales Wines, combining new wine with fine art in the one cellar door experience. Winemaker Edgar Vales is releasing three new wines: a 2026 Fiano, a 2026 Muscat de Hambourg and a 2025 Barbera.

Each wine reflects Edgar's twenty years of passion and mastery, crafted from fruit sourced across some of Australia's most beautiful winemaking regions. Alongside the release, the cellar door will exhibit new paintings by Sydney artist Tara Johns, whose richly textured, surreal landscapes explore memory and perception through the Australian landscape.

This marks the third collaboration between Johns and Vales, following an earlier partnership that saw her artwork feature on a Vales Wines label. Guests are welcome to taste the new releases, view the exhibition and meet both the winemaker and the artist over opening drinks from 4pm. Each ticket includes a guided tasting of all three new releases alongside a selection of canapés.

On the day, Vales Wines will be holding an exclusive prize draw for a lucky door prize: a package of three of the latest wines paired with an original Tara Johns artwork, generously donated by the artist. Tickets $40 per person, including a full tasting of the three new releases, a selection of Portuguese nibbles, and entry into the prize draw.
