Balkan Rhythm’n’Blues — A Stream of Songs & Stories

After nine years, Valkania returns — this time as an energetic Balkan Rhythm'n'Blues trio: guitar, bass, and drums.

Join us at Canvas & Cream on Thursday, 22 October at 20:30 (doors at 19:30) for an evening of Balkanised Western tunes, Westernised Balkan pieces and original compositions.

With Viktor on guitar, Sebastian on drums, and Nadezhda on bass, we take you through instrumentals and songs in several languages, exploring the eternal themes of love, tenderness, hope, light, and joy—but also longing, sorrow, loss, and separation.

Between songs, we'll share stories about the origins or inspirations of the pieces, through an imaginary stargazing from the rooftop of London's tallest building, the Shard.
