San Geronimo Valley Community Center presents - Valley Games IX

We are excited to announce the return of the BiAnnual Valley Games IX on Saturday August 24, 2024 from 9am-2pm at the San Geronimo Valley Community Center & Gym and Lagunitas Community School.  The Valley Games is a community gathering and family fun Olympics….Valley style.  Each San Geronimo Valley Village along with the Nicasio Valley Newts and "Townies" from over the hill (Fairfax & beyond), compete in fun, wacky events like an Obstacle Course, Amoeba Race, Hacky Sack, Cookie Bake Off, Ping Pong, Hulu Hoop, Putting Contest, Hoops Hot Spot Contest, Wiffle Ball HomeRun Derby, Fishing Casting Derby and more! There will be food by Granelli Meat Co., Silver Shave Ice for purchase. Registration will open at 9am and a FREE Pancake Breakfast will be served up by our very own Buck Chavez. There will be Opening Ceremonies with village anthems and a parade  and Award Closing Ceremonies, with awards for individual event winners and Village teams, that you and your family will not want to miss!  

9am - 10am - Registration and Pancake Breakfast

10:00am - Opening Ceremonies / Village Anthem and Parade / Amoeba Race

11:00am Games Begin

11:30am - 2pm - Food Available for Purchase (Granelli Meat Co. & Silver Shave Ice)

1:00pm Games Close 

1:00pm - Final Freeze Dance Village Competition (Community Center Courtyard) and Award Point Tallying

1:30pm - Awards & Closing Ceremonies (Community Center Courtyard)
