The 2024 Australian Early Development Census (AEDC) data will be available soon.

This session explores how early childhood educators can meaningfully engage with community level data to plan initiatives to improve early childhood outcomes. Case studies will be shared showing how AEDC data has informed the practices of ECEC services. The session will provide opportunities for you to suggest resources to help you use AEDC data to inform your service's continuous improvement.

In this session, participants will:

• develop knowledge of AEDC data measures and how this data is collected

• learn how to access, engage with and interpret AEDC community-level data

• understand the value of using AEDC data to inform planning and practice in ECEC services

• learn how to access and engage with professional learning and resources that support the use of AEDC data.
