Event description
The arts in all of its forms is able to offer up a unique set of skills and insights that allow artists to develop works that speak to people on a different level of experience.
But how are those skills viewed in different sectors? If an artist decides to pivot into a different career, how can they use their skills to grow in a different field? This is a particularly pertinent question during COVID-19 when many opportunities for artists within the sector dry up.
We will speak with Maurie Voisey-Barlin (Creative Therapeutic Engagement Specialist – Creative Ageing & Window Therapy), Semara Jose (Deadly Indigenous Youth Doing Good), Cale Bain (Founding Director – Improv Theatre Sydney), and Rachel Perry (Research Specialist – The Association of Independent Schools of NSW), on how they have used their unique arts sector insights in new fields.
