    This Clearing The Air - Vaping presentation will be delivered by Azelene Williams, a registered Holistic Counsellor and Social Worker in Collaboration with Perennial Health Institute. 

    The presentation is suitable for parents, guardians, care givers, teachers and other adults involved with young people.

    Azelene is an experienced presenter who has engaged audiences for more than a decade, drawing on her experience as a teenager who smoked and later turned to Vaping. 

    In her lived experience presentation, she discusses key concepts and theories around vaping and nicotine addiction and connects them to her lived experience.

    • Anatomy of e-cigarettes
    • Nicotine addiction
    • Peer pressure / social norms
    • What attracts young people to vaping?
    • Advertising and social media
    • Vaping & lung diseases

    • What can you do to support your child?
    • Social Triggers when quitting
    • How to quit vaping
    • All presentations conclude with an open question time.

    In addition to the Zoom sessions, presentations will be delivered at both Byford Seconary School and Court Grammar School to directly target young people.
