    Event description

I had a cesarean section with my first baby almost 14 years ago. Eight years ago I had my first VBAC, in a hospital. It was a positive experience but my only source of information and support was from my midwife, thankfully she supported me to have the birth I wanted, not one that was dictated by policies and guidelines. I then went on to have my 2nd VBAC at home. Eight years on, there is STILL such a lack of unbiased information out there for women wanting to have a VBAC. With that knowledge, I thought I would create this workshop to provide women and families considering VBAC with evidence-based information that is supportive of YOUR choices.

This empowering and positive one-of-a-kind workshop covers all things ‘Vaginal Birth After Caesarean’ (VBAC) related, including: What is VBAC? Who can VBAC? What are the guidelines, including risks and possible complications, but also how VBAC is often catrophised in the medical world. Information about cesarean section history and risks of repeat cesareans. You will gain an understanding of your previous birth/s and why your birth may have ended in a C-Section. You will also realise that no choice you make is risk free! You will walk away feeling informed and empowered (and hopefully excited) about the path you want to take for your next birth.

DISCLAIMER- As a qualified childbirth educator, I provide generalised information in this workshop to add to your tool belt. You can then discuss your individual situation and desires with your care providers.
