Speakers:
Emma Tibballs, Investment Analyst, Gandel Invest - 2025 VCC Alumnus
Coming from 5+ years working in the corporate world, with the prior 3.5 years working in EY’s Transaction Services team, Emma has joined the venture capital ecosystem as an Investment Analyst at Gandel Invest. Having studied accounting and psychology, she loves the Venn diagram of her role where she gets to analyse businesses and financials as well as meet many new people, discuss with founders their startups, and join networking events. Emma is particularly interested in health and well-being, female empowerment, and education and has been active in the volunteering, mentorship, and NFP space.
Scott Thomson, Founder | CEO, SCRYPTID - 2024 VCC Alumnus
Scott has served as the Head of Innovation for Customer Engineering at Google. Scott worked in Google from 2015 through 2024 in the Ads Data Platforms, Analytics and Google Cloud product areas in AuNZ and APAC. Before Google, Scott worked with Adobe across APAC on digital strategy and digital transformation. He also worked for Telstra and Sensis in digital transformation and held the role of CTO in an Australian startup focused on personalised video advertising for mobiles. He is passionate about working with and helping startups throughout AU and NZ.
Andrew "Midsy" Middleton, Program Director, Wade Institute
An expert in recruitment and community building in higher education and philanthropic environments, with a strong focus on entrepreneurship and investor programs. Midsy has successfully recruited participants for a range of high-profile initiatives, leveraging his extensive network and strategic approach.
