Event description

The VCOSS Disaster Recovery Conversation series provides an opportunity for leaders, staff and volunteers of community and social service organisations to network and gain access to in depth expert knowledge on topical issues relating to emergencies and disasters.

This month's Conversation will focus on community-led disaster resilience. We will share recent research and practice, and have your questions answered.

Speakers include:

  • Anne Leadbeater OAM, Disaster recovery and community resilience specialist
  • Celeste Young, Research Fellow and author of Growing the seeds, Victoria University
  • Leanne Jennings, Manager of Bairnsdale Neighbourhood House and Facilitator of Rural Minds Workshops

Auslan interpreters will be booked for this event.

VCOSS is the peak representative body for Victoria’s social and community sector, and the state’s leading social advocacy organisation.

We work towards creating a Victoria that is fairjust and inclusive. A society where nobody is trapped by poverty, and everybody is supported to live a life of wellbeing.
