King Billy is Ablaze - Velvet Sledgehammer house concert
Event description
Astonishingly mellifluous inter-generational trio Velvet Sledgehammer present a slice of obscure, but potently fascinating, Tasmanian history with songs from their new album 'King Billy is Ablaze'. Laugh and cry with the people who experienced the 1912 Mount Lyell Mine Fire and who lived and worked in the village around the Lake Margaret Power Station, as they are seemingly brought back to life through original songwriting and delicious three-part vocal harmony.
Location
House in West Moonah, TAS, 7009
Address advised upon booking
5pm concert. Bring a plate of vegetarian finger food to share in the interval.
Limited spaces.
Please do not attend if you have any flu-like symptoms or any of the other COVID restrictions. See folktas.org/coronavirus (and ignore the stuff about dancing).
