Vessel — Film Screening and Dialogue
Event description
VESSEL - FILM SCREENING AND DIALOGUE BY CURTIS HILL
VESSEL is a live event that premiers a new short film by Curtis Hill, featuring local mussel farmer Harry Mussel as he prepares to close the chapter on three decades at sea. Following the screening, an open Q&A discussion will take place.
Blurring the lines between narrative and documentary, the film delves into the internal and external worlds of the seaman.
At its heart, VESSEL asks: What does it mean to be shaped by a place, not just by memory or routine, but by something elemental? This immersive evening invites viewers to reflect on their own relationship with Wurnmarrinh (Western Port Bay) through a portrait of a man shaped by the pull of the tide.
