Vic State Ride 2025
Black Dog Ride Vic State Ride aims to start a national conversation about depression and suicide prevention. Help us get the country talking and join us on this epic journey around our great State.
Ride Registration
Registrations to ride all the way with Black Dog Ride are strictly limited. Registrations close when all places are filled, or at 9am AEDT 17th October 2025.
Registration for the full Black Dog Ride VIC State Ride 2025 includes:
Entry and participation in the fully organised Ride
State Ride 2025 cloth patch, round ride decal, and bumper sticker
Back up of a Support Vehicle

Hello.... I'm proud to reveal the destinations and venues for each night of the Vic State Ride... I've supplied accommodation suggestions that are close to venues but it is entirely up to you on where you wish to stay...
For people who wish to camp, I have included caravan parks as I myself like to and will be camping.
The last night in Portarlington is probably the most important one to book asap as it is a Friday....
So check in night, meet and greet is Sunday 19th Oct from 5pm at Alexandra House Sports Club in Hamilton.
Join in for a meal, meet new and old friends or just come and say hi, people not doing the ride are welcome to come along as well...

Lonsdale Motel, Goldsmith Motel, Town House Motel, Hamilton Caravan park.
For those travelling from out of our district and may wish to come earlier there are lots sightseeing to be had and in Dunkeld on the Saturday is a local 3 Peaks Festival with market stalls etc... always a great day.

We will be in Portarlington at the Portarlington Grand Hotel

Average ride each day will be around the 350kms with some interesting stops and sights, taking in some interesting places, views, artworks and natural wonders....
If riding the Great Ocean Road is on your bucket list then this is your chance to do it...
I can guarantee we will have some fun, see at least 1 thing you haven't before and have an awesome experience.... oh and have some good food along the way cos who doesn't love good food.
We are looking for someone/s who may wish to volunteer as support vehicle....
Or even if a business wishes to sponsor a vehicle and trailer and we find a driver please reach out.... we very open to options and can discuss further....
If you have any specific dietary requirements that you can't see on the menu of venues please contact us or the venue to discuss options... the more advanced notice the easier for all involved.
Ride Preparation
It is imperative that riders ensure their bike is registered, roadworthy, and in proper working order, ready for the significant distance ride ahead. It is also imperative that riders and pillion passengers are fit and well enough for the journey. Black Dog Ride does not take responsibility for these matters.

Each state has a Facebook Group to help you connect with fellow riders. Once you have registered for this ride you can go to your state's Facebook Group and apply for membership. Here's the link to the state group.

The safety and wellbeing of all Black Dog Ride participants is our priority: While participating in Black Dog ride events, at any time where you are, or are likely to be, in control of a vehicle, the consumption of alcohol and illegal drugs is prohibited. At all times, the use of illegal substances is prohibited. At the conclusion of the event or days documented riding, and/or if an event includes multiple days, including evening social events and meals, we expect your decision to consume alcohol to be in moderation and within legal limitations. Non-compliance of this requirement will result in your immediate disqualification from further participation in the event, and no refunds will be given
