VicEmergency App Co-design workshop

Event description

Are you interested in disaster preparedness and/or digital creation?

We are looking for young people living in Nillumbik who would like to participate in a co-design project to help promote the VicEmergency App!

The VicEmergency App is a centralised location to access timely emergency information, but many young people in our community are not using it. We want to develop some materials that target youth in the community which also promotes the benefits of using the VicEmergency App.

During the workshop, we will come up with ideas and work with a videographer to bring them to life. We will do most of the filming on the day, with the option for a follow-up session if needed.

*Every participant will receive $150 remuneration for their time and efforts*

What: Help create content that promotes using the VicEmergency App.

When: Sunday 8 September, 11am-4pm at the Hurstbridge Hub, lunch included!

How: A 4-hour workshop to brainstorm and develop social media content by and for young people living in Nillumbik.

Why: To increase awareness amongst youth in the community of the benefits of using the VicEmergency App, helping them to feel confident and capable in the event of an emergency.

If you would like some further information, please get in touch with Sumarlinah Winoto on 0439 931 552 or via email emergency.management@nillumbik.vic.gov.au. Note, we only have very limited spots!
