Victoria Fellows' Event - Nov 2024 - The Future of Higher Education

Dear Victorian Fellows,

Please join us for our next event, to will be held from 5.00 to 7.30pm on Wednesday 6 November 2024. 

This year the event will be a panel discussion on the 'future of higher education'. The invited panellists include:

• Prof Greg Bamber: Monash Business School & Monash Data Futures Institute, Monash University.
• Dr Alison Barnes:  National President, National Tertiary Education Union, former at Macquarie University.
• Prof Allan Fels AO, FASSA: Monash University and The University of Melbourne, former Chair, Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.
• Jenny Macklin AC, FASSA: Vice-Chancellor’s Fellow, The University of Melbourne; former member of the Australian Universities Accord Panel that reported in 2024 and former Minister of the Australian Government.

There will be plenty of time for formal and informal discussions. The evening will begin with mingling over drinks and canapes, then about an hour for the presentation and discussion, which should leave time for further mingling.

Canapes and house beverages will be provided by the Academy.

The event will be in the Upper East Room, Level 1, University House at the University of Melbourne.
