Travel instructions

BY TRAM: Tram routes 96, 109 and 12 will all take you to the Clarendon Street entrance (at 2 Clarendon Street) if coming from the south (Stop 125 Clarendon St/Whiteman St) or to the entrance next to General Assembly via Orr's Walk if coming from the north (Stop 124A Casino/MCEC) . Otherwise, tram routes 70, 75 and the City Circle (Stop D5) take you to Flinders Street. From there, it's a ten minute walk up Clarendon Street. BY TRAIN: The closest station is Southern Cross. Once you exit the station, you can catch the 96, 109 or 12 tram routes and arrive at MCEC in just a few stops, or it is a ten minute walk. Entry instructions

The conference is taking place on Level 1 of the Convention Centre, at the top of Stair 1. You can either enter the building via: 1. The Exhibition Centre entrance at 2 Clarendon Street (if coming by tram or parking) - head along the main foyer on ground floor all the way to Stair 1 (there are also escalators and lifts here) 2. The entrance next to the General Assembly via Orr's Walk (if you are coming by tram this allows you to enter close to the conference without going through the Exhibition centre - turn left when you enter the building and head for Stair 1 - there area also lifts and escalators here) 3. If you are being dropped off by car then the Melbourne Convention entrance at 1 Convention Centre Place, South Wharf (opposite the Pan Pacific Hotel) will require the least walking - turn left at the Customer Service Desk and head for Stair 1 on the Convention Centre side - there are also lifts and escalators here. After entry instructions

Once on the first floor, follow the signs to Meeting Rooms 101 – 106 (to the right if you are at the top of Stair 1).

Accessible parking

If you are driving, it's recommended that you park at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre car park, accessible via Normanby Road. Park close to Door 6 or 7 and make your way to the Ground Level, via stairs or the lift, where there is a direct route to the internal Exhibition Centre/Convention Centre link (glass lined passage). From here you will enter the Convention Centre Main Foyer and can head towards Stair 1 or the lifts to Level 1.

There are accessible toilets, ramps and lifts throughout the venue, including lift access from the car parks. Braille is provided on all room door signage and fixed directional signage throughout the venue. MCEC is guide dog friendly and welcomes any registered assistance dogs into all areas of the building. Most meeting rooms within the Convention Centre are equipped with TTA Hearing Assisted telephones, and we have other hearing assisted devices available to hire. See Accessible Parking above. Additionally, there are secure car parks located in and around South Wharf including, South Wharf Retail Car Park, Siddeley Street Carpark, Freeway Carpark and Montague Street Carpark.
