Victorian Practice Leaders Forum: Supporting Communication

Further your expertise in supporting your team to provide high quality supports for people who do not use speech to communicate.

This forum will explore practical ways to enhance the communication experience of people who use alternatives to speech to communicate and the disability workforce that supports them. It is targeted at practice leaders and frontline supervisors who support disability support workers. The forum will include sessions that provide both information, practical examples and experiential activities:

• to better understand the ways people communicate,
• how to be a good communication partner, 
• the role for speech pathologists who specialise in working with people who use alternative and augmentative communication systems, and
• opportunities to explore the development of resources.
  

Registration and morning tea is from 9.30-10am

The first session will start promptly at 10am and the day will conclude at 3pm.
