    Event description

Homelessness is a topic fraught with myths and misinformation. What causes lead to it? Where is choice involved and where isn't it? How solvable is it as a entire issue?

Canberra is one of the most prosperous cities on earth and was recently named the second best city in the world for quality of life. Despite this there are still over two-thousand people experiencing homelessness in our nation's capital. The drivers of this issue are nuanced and perhaps the solutions are as well.

The purpose of our evening will be to break stigma, dispel myths as well as to demystify the drivers around homelessness and let us know if there is any hope of eradicating the issue in our locale. This event will feature a panel of experts in the homelessness field including community sector workers, ministers and volunteers working with clients experiencing homelessness.

Canberra citizens this is the chance to draw back the curtain of homelessness and spread the knowledge we need through the community as well as a chance to ask the experts the hard hitting questions!
