Course Outline:

This course is designed to provide employers with an update on current issues impacting workers compensation schemes, the latest trends, external factors and legal implications, and the expected implications of these issues for employers. Depending on what the current issues are at the time, this could include discussion on topics such as: Covid, state based updates, scheme reviews and expected impacts, claims experience, ombudsman reports, financial performance, self insurers, legislation changes, Victorian Provisional Liability for mental injury claims, vicarious liability, compassion fatigue.

Learning Outcomes:

This course will provide you with up to date insights on issues that are currently impacting the scheme, and how they will affect employers.

Recommended for:

This course is applicable for a national audience and is aimed at Return to Work Coordinators and Workers Compensation Managers.

About the Trainer: Meg Hansson - Learning and Development Specialist, EML Meg has worked in workers’ compensation, return to work and occupational health and safety for over 20 years. During this time Meg has applied her skills, knowledge and experience in a range of roles including as a trainer and facilitator, learning designer, advisor , Mental Health and WHS Specialist. Meg has extensive experience interpreting legislation and is passionate about helping learners achieve their career and study goals.
Meg holds a Diploma of Workplace Health and Safety, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Diploma of Fitness and a Diploma of Human Resources.
