Event description

Suitable for Years 3 to 10.

Hosted by expert educators, students will investigate the use and management of natural resources and waste, and the different views on how to do this sustainably.

During this interactive virtual learning session your students will:

  • learn how to transform waste into valuable resources,
  • be introduced to the concept of "take, make, dispose" (linear economy),
  • use tools like the 5Rs
  • explore ways we can transition to a circular economy

Curriculum: Science, Geography and Sustainability.

Important notes:

  • Our maximum group size is 30 students. Each ticket is for one class per registered school. If you have more than 30 students you will need to book a number of tickets. We aim to maximise student engagement and the opportunity for questions.
  • Payments made online using a credit card will accrue a booking fee for each session ticket purchased. Alternatively, you can request an invoice. A flat booking fee of $3.63 will apply, regardless of the number of tickets purchased.
  • The session will open 10 minutes before the scheduled start
  • We use Zoom Video Conferencing to deliver virtual learning sessions. If your school prefers to use another video-conferencing tool, please let us know in advance to organise an alternative platform.
  • Q & A will be left open for students to communicate with CERES educators during the webinar.

What you'll receive

  • You will be sent a unique URL prior to the session to be shared with participating students
  • A school teacher guide, including instructions for optional activities to do before and after your webinar
