    Event description

Join us for the final event in our Computation and Construction in Architecture (CoCoA) Profile Series.

The Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry is on the cusp of a technological revolution, driven by the integration of Virtual Reality (VR) into its core processes. Recent advancements in VR software and equipment are reshaping how we bridge the gap between design and construction by creating immersive and interactive experiences. These cutting-edge methods are transforming complex designs into reality and revolutionizing communication between designers, engineers, clients, and consultants.

To highlight these advancements, the University of Sydney School of Architecture, Design, and Planning, in collaboration with the UNSW Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture, invites you to an exclusive series of presentations. Join leading designers and innovators as they share their insights and experiences on integrating VR into design and construction processes.

This event will delve into how VR is being adopted to tackle challenges in the AEC industry, followed by a panel discussion on the development, testing, and evaluation of VR tools. Discover how these advancements are paving the way for a more efficient and sustainable future in the AEC sector.

    Date: Tuesday 29 October
    Time: 6.00pm - 8.30pm
    Venue: LT250, Wilkinson Building G04

    Virtual Reality Experience
After the talk, attendees will have the opportunity to experience two VR immersive tours of the legendary Sydney Opera House construction site.

The event is curated by Dr. Paolo Stracchi, University of Sydney, and Dr. Luciano Cardellicchio, UNSW.

2 informal CPD points are available for this event.
